Hi! I just changed my video card to a geforce 2 with tv-out...
I wondered if it contains or not a BT848 chip, so I run
BeTVOut... 2 times...

This is the output:

First time:

501 ~/Downloads/BeTVOut ->BeTVOut

BeTVOut V0.11.3 written by the BeTVOut team:
Rudolf Cornelissen; Email: RAG.Cornelissen@inter.NL.net
Michael Pfeiffer; Email: michael.pfeiffer@utanet.at

riva_iic driver V0.13
RIVA IICbus 0: detected.
RIVA IICbus 1: detected.
IIC bus 0 sanity check: OK
IIC bus 1 sanity check: OK

Checking sane IIC bus(ses) for first TV-out chip:
Found one on bus 1, adress $88;

IIC communication error encountered, exiting...

Second time:

502 ~/Downloads/BeTVOut ->BeTVOut

BeTVOut V0.11.3 written by the BeTVOut team:
Rudolf Cornelissen; Email: RAG.Cornelissen@inter.NL.net
Michael Pfeiffer; Email: michael.pfeiffer@utanet.at

riva_iic driver V0.13
RIVA IICbus 0: detected.
RIVA IICbus 1: not detected.
IIC bus 0 sanity check: OK

Checking sane IIC bus(ses) for first TV-out chip:
No chip found, exiting...

Hm... why two different outputs on the same card?

    Ok, it's my fault. My card uses a philips tv chip. Sorry.

    Hi Jack,

    Sorry I didn't notice this earlier, but I am still unfamiliary with
    this system. Philips Chip support may come later...

    BTW.
    Apparantly after your first BeTVOut start, the chip is found, but
    the IIC bus gets blocked.
    This is why the second time only one working bus is found...

    Rudolf.

    Jack,

    Could you test BeTVOut V0.117? I am curious what it will do on your
    system with this card...
    It's on the BETVOut page and on BeBits..

    Please send me the output.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rudolf.

    I just tested V0.117, and it doesn't work. It doesn't show any image
    on TV. I didn't do extensive testing (I just tried 800x600 pal, if
    you want I could try ALL modes), but it seems that it can't work
    this way. Anyway, I could run the program, and this is the output:

    riva_iic driver V0.22
    RIVA IICbus 0: detected.
    RIVA IICbus 1: detected.
    IIC bus 0 sanity check: OK. (bus status = 3)
    IIC bus 1 sanity check: OK. (bus status = 3)

    Checking sane IIC bus(ses) for first possible TV-out chip:
    Found one on bus 1, adress $88;
    ChipID = 1, chip version = 0: Chiptype is bt869.

    Checking for primary card videomode: Driver detected.
    (RIVA h_display: 800, v_display: 600)

    Checking status of RIVA card: Primary adapter.
    Vendor ID = $10de, Device ID = $151;
    Nvidia Corporation: Untested card detected!

    Hi there Jack :-)
    I am assuming this bug is closed now (probably you use the haiku nVidia driver containing TVout support, or you don't use it at all..)

    Bye!

    Rudolf.
