Until further notice, version 3.0 of the BestBooks framework are only development releases, which means they are not fully implemented and do have bugs. The releases are decided when certain mile stones have been reached. The continual development changes are in CVS. Use this version at your own risk. BestBooks version 2.0 is a final release and is provided here to verify backward compatibility on the data model.

BestBooks 2.x available at this location is also available on www.planet-source-code.com. There is no change to the functionality of the source code. An ant build.xml file has been included to permit ant builds and document generation. Additionally, version 2.x can be used to verify backward compatibility of the database when created under version 3.0. There will be no additional releases for version 2.x. However if anyone has made improvements to version, please submit those changes so they can verified and the build tree refreshed. Also include the appropriate credits that you wish to have acknowledged.

There have been three (3) versions of BestBooks, Accounting Application Framework made available on Planet Source Code. Version 1 uses Java 1.1.5, Version 2 uses Java 1.4 and Version 2.1 uses Java 1.5. There are currently two versions presently in development.
