I was going through the documentation to set up xterm
and keboard mapping for bangla.

I copied "ben" file into /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols
directory.
Then I tried:
> setxkbmap -symbols "us(pc105)+ben+group
(ctrl_shift_toggle)"
It complains that error in opening new description file.

Is there any known problem with "ben" file.

I am also unable to open xterm after installing the fonts,
although fc-list shows that fonts are installed.

bash$ LC_ALL=bn_BD.UTF-8
bash$ xterm -fn "-misc-Probhat-medium-r-normal--0-0-
0-0-p-iso10646-1" -u8

xterm : cannot open font ... trying

I am using redhat 9
