#7 FR: Set Status Filter

a) Could you please explain the flags mode of the filter.
Ive looked at the code, and all it seems to do is poke the
supplied string into the flags attribute.
What are the flags, and what are they for?

b) Could you add a status mode to the filter?
I get a lot of error emails, and list emails, that I
generaly dont want to read, so I want to set them to 'read'
automatically.
