#2 Sort option for Browse & Search

Is it possible to incorporate alternative sort orders for
display of search and browse results.
eg Sorting by published date would be useful for quickly
determining new objects.
Alternatively an option for refining a browse may be
selecting a published range from a button at top of
listing generated from a browse.
