If I have my EDITOR set to /usr/bin/joe when beeswax launches and I use the 'n' keybind to start editing a note, my joe session starts with no cursor. In fact, if I leave beeswax my terminal session is without cursor, and it continues if I start joe from outside beeswax.

Starting joe outside of beeswax does not duplicate this problem, so long as I've never started beeswax in that terminal.

This was the case for Ubuntu 8.10 and continues in Ubuntu 9.04.

This happens both in and out of screen, where my terminal is 'screen' and 'xterm', respectively.

If I set my EDITOR to vim, I do not have this problem.
