BeeBEEP tries to phone home to 89.46.109.8 (beebeep.net)
Probably just checking for a new version of the software but that's not the point.
The point is that NO software should be trying to communicate over the Internet without asking permission first.
Especially not software that makes this claim:
"indispensable in all those places where privacy and security are an essential requirement"
And it gets worse.
BeeBEEP also tries to connect to - and send usage data to - a Google Analytics server (172.217.12.110) by default, without asking permission.
Before I post a review, I'll wait to see if these violations of trust are corrected by way of making sure that, in the next release, "Check for new version" is NOT checked by default and "SendAnonymousUsageStatistics" is set to "False" by default, and no other attempts are made to communicate over the Internet without receiving explicit user permission first.

- the number 1
- part of tbe ip is obscured (i need only to know which country
but, it does not work anymore. Google analytics stop to receive events from app.

"You can trust BeeBEEP"
Sneaking communication outside of the LAN is itself a violation of trust.
Disable all Internet communications by default.
When the program starts for the first time, ask the user for permission to connect to the beebeep.net server to check for updates and to connect to the Google server to send some basic data (and specify exactly what data will be sent).
You can't expect users to trust you if you're sneaking Internet communication instead of asking permission.
