The BEE Project is a suite of tools supporting Business Intelligence project implementation including ETL tool and OLAP server and a thin client. The ROLAP server ensures multipass SQL generation and powerful cache management (utilizes MySQL RDBMS). Today we've released latest planned release candidates of both bear (the ROLAP server) and of the osito web UI.

We are going to release stable version of the v2.0.0 during the next week. We plan to release rc1 of v2.0.1 in the same time as well. This new version will bring several new features (e.g. improved subtotals management).

The BEE Project Live demo is now available on http://bee.insightstrategy.cz/en/index.html site.

The Live demo shows functionality of the user interface of OLAP reports provided by The BEE ROLAP Server. You can test rich set of report manipulating features such as drill down, drill across, table pivoting, sorting, totaling and format changing.

We've released RC2 of the bear (ROLAP server) and the demo data-mart data with several bug fixes.

We are proud to announce availability of the BEE Project v2.0 release candidate, which is a result of more than two years development efforts of Insight Strategy development team.

To test this release you should download "common", "bear" and "osito" packages and then follow instructions included in their README files. You can download "bee_demo_md" (demo meta-data) and "bee_demo" (demo data-mart) packages to install testing environment as well.... read more
