I've used beanshell to augment the basic scripting of GUI test
automation in Costello (http://abbot.sf.net). The basic script
language consists of UI actions and UI tests, and beanshell allows for
any unanticipated tweaks.
I find it kinda odd that anyone would use some other language (e.g.
Jython) to test Java unless it was somehow fundamentally either orders
of magnitude simpler or more powerful.
