I have a script that I can run fine on windows, java 1.4.x or 1.5,
tomcat web container inside of axis. My scripts run and work great.
Then I go over to an IBM AIX machine, java 1.3.1, Oracle 9iAS, Axis
(configured to use Xerces xml parser), and I start getting these errors
about typed variable declarations and the fully qualified class name not
being located in the namespace. Again, it works fine on one vm and not
the other. Was there some bug related to 1.3.1 which caused this type
of issue that someone knows about?
Also, the exact same script...because of the way I'm doing it. I can
remove the typed declarations and it works great. The reason it works
is because I was typing variables that already exist because I used set
to set them. Then I typed them in the script with another reference
because it was the only way I could get my NB scripting module to use
the correct automatic code completion in the scripting env. However,
all of my utility classes with static methods which I want to use...I
have to add them using set and I have to add constructors to them so I
can add an instance as I can't access them by type...?
I hope this is clear enough. Any help is greatly appreciated.
