I just would like to know if everybody here is using Arch and the netcfg script Thomas gave us, or if someone managed to create something else I could use with Debian.
Thank you !

You can use networkmanager + nm-applet (which is gtk), leaving its entry in the systray as "unthemed" and then - eventually - replace the network status icons from your gtk icon theme with custom ones ( user LaGaDesk provided a very nice theme including all the ones you need for the purpose ).
Another solution could be Connman, which has two different Qt clients :)

I'm on Arch + networkmanager.

There's also nm-a-like https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Connman which has several (inc. Qt) clients.
I like connman, but there is nothing with a systray icon which is fine. I could try to create one, I tell you if I succeeded.
Thanks !
