Do you mean contrats enhancement before the panel detection in order to improve the detection on the comics or contrats enhancement for the display (because the displayed panels are not easily readable) ?
Regarding the latter, I didn't originaly planned to add any "image correction" options in the software, but that could be an idea, quite easily doable since OpenCV (the library used for image processing in BDReader) allows to do that quite simply. That will, at the end just add more, non-trivial, options to select by advanced users.

that's correct when you view any old comics that's not clear its wont detect. and contrast enhancement could make old comics look like new again and it be easy to read panel view mode detection.

Yes, that's in the pipeline, but results were not very satisfying so far, so it will be for a next release.
