Hi,

I've been expanding on your excellent bdist_nsi module:

http://github.com/amorilia/bdist_nsi/tree/master

To get a quick idea of what I've done with it:

http://github.com/amorilia/bdist_nsi/commits/master

Most notably:
install for mutliple versions of python at once
install for various maya versions
install for blender
optional py3k support via 2to3 on the fly during install
options to look for msvc redistributable packages if required
possibility to install additional documentation, readme, changelog, etc.

I've written it mainly for the purpose of improving an installer for one of my other projects, pyffi (you can also find it on sourceforge). I've already released a few installers based on it - so the worst bugs should be gone.

Are you interested in merging http://sourceforge.net/projects/bdist-nsi/ and http://github.com/amorilia/bdist_nsi (in whatever way that seems easiest to you)?

Cheers,
Amorilia
