Since the birth of this project a lot has moved in the embedded scenario hence the need for e New Generation of clash that would better embrace the requirements. Here are a few highlights on the imminent release of this New Generation:
Flash devices have grown so much in size that full blown OS can be installed on them so the very first thing that became mandatory was support for on board flash chips trough MTD. The name clash remains but the main target has moved to MTD.
ARM has become a very popular embedded architecture so the first release of clashNG will target that architetcure.
USB has become a widespread bus so support for USB devices will be fully functional on the New Generation.
Creating routers, firewalls, 3G gateways and access points has become a popular request so iptables,pppd and hostapd will be available.
U-Boot has become a very popular boot loader for the embedded architecture so fw_printenv and fw_setenv are also incuded.
