Dear Jason 'vanRijn' Kasper,

First I must say that I absolutely love BBKeys -- I
have been using it
for almost my entire Linux experience (7+ yrs).

I would like to make a feature request -- could you add
an On-Screen
Display? Something similar to what is found with
HotKeys would be
cool. Setting a T/F option in the config would be
really cool, so
those that don't want it can leave it off.

I would love to help out with it, but I have no coding
skills (except for
HTML and CSS) :-) Is there anything else you could use
some help
with? I would love to be able to help with something
since BBKeys has
been a "must have" app for me for so long.

I make this request cause it does not seem as though
bbkeys sits in the
slit anymore. (And therefore no more visual clue that
it ran a command
when I press the key combo). Is this on purpose, or do
I have something
wrong? I am using the Debian Testing Repository with
Blackbox 0.7 and
bbkeys 0.9.0.

    1) Change all your hotkeys to use chaining.
    2) In the chain, summon XOSD[1] to paint your OSD text.

Huh. This is an interesting thought, but I'm not sure what it would look like, exactly. The one thing that I've been thinking about for a while is displaying a menu for chained keybindings so that you know that the first part took. KDE3 does this and it looks really nice. But other than that, I'm not sure what would be displayed in the OSD?

That being said, though, I don't have the time to work on this, but I would be more than happy to look at a code contribution if someone wants to make one.
