    Hi,

    Will it be possible to have a version that writes to STDOUT instead of using the $MAILER variable?

    I'm trying to use it systemwide with qmail (as part of a string of filters!) and it doesn't seem to work with setting the mailer to /usr/sbin/sendmail like one of the other posters recomended..

    Cheers,
    Phil.

      Yes, it's a very simple change. Basically it just involves commenting out lines 191 through 207 and lines 288 through 290. Note: These line numbers pertain to version 0.8.0 ONLY.

      For what it's worth, this change also makes it work great as an Exim transport_filter.

    Please, my requirements are very simple.   I have a directory with mail files created by mutt, many of which contain large JPG attachments.  I have removed the lines indicated in this thread.   My $TABOO is:

    $TABOO="(\\.com\")|(\\.JPG\")|(\\.scr\")|(\\.vb*\")|(\\.hta\")|(\\.js*\")|(\\.lnk\")|(\\.pif\")|(\\.ws\")|(\\.bat\")|(\\.JPG\$)";

    my invocation is:

    cat large.file.with.JPGs | batemail > hopefully.smaller.file

    but nothing is remove.

    Thanks.
