#1 install problem?

Hi I am trying to install Basmati and this is my first time
trying out PHP and MySQL so please be kind....

I have PHP working just fine and at first tried to use the
exsisting Access database and I could not create any
records at all. Upon looking at the docs again I saw that
you were no longer going to develop for Access but you
were going to develop for MySQL. I installed MySQL for
Win 2003 and it appears to work but when trying to
create the basmati database I get the following error.

c:\mysql\bin> mysqladmin -p create basmati
Enter password:**********
mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user: 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using
password: YES)'

Thanks in advance for any direction you may point me in.

You DID not change the database method from ODBC to
MYSQL in basmaticonstants.php
