It appears that some cross-site scripting issues in the Read Message and List Message windows had not been properly dealt with. I've therefore rushed out a fix. Anyone who downloaded BasiliX-1.1.1.tar.gz should replace it with BasiliX-1.1.1_fix1.tar.gz. Anyone who is still using 1.1.0 should also upgrade ASAP as the problems exist there too (as well as others). Sorry for the inconvenience. -- Mike Web Site: http://www.ice2o.com JabberID: mp...@ja... Registered Linux User #247123 *No-one* liked the Joshua N'Clement block. There were two schools of thought about what should be done with it. The people who lived there thought everyone should be taken out en then the block should be blown up, and the people who lived *near* the block just wanted it blown up. (Johnny and the Dead) |

*********************************************************** ************** BasiliX-1.1.1 Released ************** *********************************************************** Firstly, apologies that this has taken so long, especially as it is mainly only a maintainance release. Due to circumstances beyond my control I was left without internet access for the last 2 weeks. Anyway here it is. This release fixes a few bugs in the message search and some attatchment and security related fixes submitted by Christofer Algotsson as well as some cosmetic changes. From docs/NEWS: - Find Message enhancements - Option to hide available domains - Cancel message compose - Improvements to internationalisation - Several languages added - Many bug and security fixes. - Administrative changes. For a full list of changes in this release please see the new CHANGELOG file in the source root directory. The main reason for this release is that I wish to make a push for BasiliX-1.2.0 (or even 2.0.0. Thoughts?) and in order to do that there need to be major changes made in the back end which will inevetibly result in temporary breakage in some components. I wanted to get a stable release out before this happens. The features I will be pushing for in 1.2.0 include: * registered_global off support, this will be the cause of most of the initial breakage along with.... * more secure, modular session handling (will allow easier integration with other applications/modules). * an API to support addition of *optional* modules and 3rd party application integration (the last thing I want to do is bloat the BasiliX core but I'd like to see the possibility of integration with other apps or modules) * Improved search capabilities. * Filters. * Improved address book functionality including import/export between other mail programs * and more..... Suggestions and comments are, as ever, welcome. Enjoy, -- Mike Web Site: http://www.ice2o.com JabberID: mp...@ja... Registered Linux User #247123 "Eureka," he said.
