I know a few games work better with 3D rendering. Pushing OpenGL to the host, and Glide through an OpenGL wrapper will be the easiest, with RAVE support (Descent II) being the hardest. As for controllers: There's currently no way to use controllers on SheepShaver/Basilisk II. The easiest way to work with OS 8.1 and higher is to pass a USB controller from the host OS to the emulated OS. This leaves out games that don't use InputSprocket, though, as well as people trying to run earlier versions of Mac OS. Perhaps finding a common game pad/joystick that old games support and emulating that, with an InputSprocket extension to more fully use controllers.
