Hi, I am on holidays and found out the old K6-2/300 system is still working=20= here. So, I fixed SheepShaver to build and run on it with a=20 Mandrakelinux 8.1 distro. This means it now builds with gcc "2.96" and=20= older glibc 2.2.X versions. Performance varies from 50 to 100 % of an=20 ancient PowerMac 6100 @ 60 MHz according to some Speedometer 4=20 benchmarks. I would be interested to know how SheepShaver goes building and running=20= on various x86 systems. A user expressed his wish to get it working on=20= {BeOS,Zeta}/x86 but I don't have that OS and I am not sure gcc 2.95.x=20 is capable enough to build the emulator sources. BTW, my Quadra 630 no longer boots, it was 10+ years old. The battery=20 is likely dead and finding a replacement doesn't seem simple (a Rayonac=20= 840 according to some sites). This means I no longer have any 68k=20 system, so I can't build a testsuite for the Basilisk II m68k emulator.=20= The UAE emulation should be stable enough though. I'd prefer working on the ppc emulator anyway. The following hosts=20 still need to be supported: mips, ia64. Bye, Gwenol=E9.= |
