[B2-devel] CDRom emulation BasiliskII vs Sheepshaver (on OSX)

Hi,

I recently tried to run the old Game "Siedler 2" or Settlers 2 on both emu=
lators on OSX.
The game is protected and checks if the original CD is inserted.
After a number of tries in BasiliskII (Nigel Pearson's OSX port), it worke=
d perfectly=20
(using System 7.6.1 or 8) but very slow.=20

Then I tried to use it in Sheepshaver (OSX Ver 21.Mar.2005 from Gwenol=E9 Be=
auchesne's
site), with System 8.6, but the game quits with the error message, that th=
e original CD
should be inserted (which I did because I ran the game from that).

Then I setup Sheepshaver to use the same boot image i used with Basilisk (=
System 8)
and for my suprise it booted up flawlessly. But the error message was the =
same.
(I even tried the Win32 version, same problem)

It seems there is a difference in the CDRom emulation in both emulators or=
 that the
Sheepshaver CDRom emulation is less complete...

Can someone explain or confirm that=3F
