If you are using the SDL version, try something like 
SDL_VIDEODRIVER=windib ./BasiliskII.exe to compare against the default 
directx output (if you have the SDL.dll). You can also arrange your 
frameskip. I have set it to 0 and it looks better with the raw gdi 
driver through VMware.
