Apparently, down.physik.uni-mainz.de is no longer reachable from outside
the campus. That's why I didn't notice any problems in the first place
(plus, I had email blockage).

As a temporary measure, I've aliased the machine to gromit.physik.uni-mainz.de
(134.93.128.231).
