Are you sure HAVE_MACH_VM is defined to 1 on MacOS X 10.2? Their mmap() 
implementation may still not work properly. Does the screen remain 
black? I once got that when compiling B2 on OS X 10.1 with an X server. 
I didn't know the cure. :-(
