Yes to both, but for B2 when building from Unix there is no way to use 
core audio currently.

Did I break it? I don't know. The build from MacOSX uses many of the files 
from ../Unix. Maybe Nigel can say something about it. I don't know if he 
uses the project files or the autotools files. In any case I don't have 
the 10.2 or 10.3 SDks installed on any mac, and even sometimes I do not 
have the 10.4 SDK installed.

B2 might be immune to much of this since it avoids the signal handler 
stuff in all cases on MacOSX I believe.
