First, I'd like to say that I've used Macs since I was about four or five years old. First computer was an LC III, etc. Switched over to Windows a while back, heard of this, so I decided to download it and try it.

Overall, it runs well. I have the Basilisk II JIT 0.8.0.142 version and I've made a Hard Drive that runs System 7.5.5 with the Quatro 650 ROM on it. I also have old games I've recently found and installed. That's where my problems arise. Games such as Galactic Empire will crash the entire emulator by simply clicking the "file" menu. Other times I will simply play the game for a while and it will just freeze up, especially the menu choices if I move my cursor over it. Furthermore, certain programs, like PowerPete, won't run at all, I'll get an Error Type -192 message.

    Any ideas / assistance?

Make sure emulator has enough RAM set in preferences (at least 32 MB for emulated Mac)
Try increasing RAM allocation in Get Info by 1 or 2 MB (more if needed).  Many older programs RAM requirements were set low for older systems and the newer emulated system may cause RAM requirements to change slightly.

Unfortunately, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard has done away with manual RAM settings in Get Info.

These RAM settings are not at the host OS level, but the application level from Leopard's perspective.  In application preferences inside Basilisk II, change RAM allocation to a higher number (32 MB, 40, 48, etc) (under emulation tab).  Increasing get info memory a few MB inside emulator for emulated apps, i.e. Galactic empire, should have no effect on operation of host OS (Leopard) and may help.
