David Purton - 2010-03-25

Using the latest Debian build in sid (0.9.20070407-4) which is admittedly fairly old (!), Basilisk II uses less than 10% CPU when idle. When I try to build the CVS version, it's more like 70% CPU.

This would be fine, except that the debian version is a bit unstable and freezes fairly regularly. The CVS version does not seem to do this, so I'd like to get it working without it eating my laptop battery so fast.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on getting a stable Basilisk II with low idle CPU usage? I'm using a quadra650 ROM and OS 7.5.5 with appearance manager.
