Using latest BasiliskII CVS source on Mandrake 7.1. I have a ROM image from a Quadra that worked with ShapeShifter on an Amiga 3000. Tried setting permissions to 777 on the file, but still get above message.

As we can read in the install documentation provided
with the sources of Basilisk, neither the ROM nor the
Mac OS are provided - these are legal issues.
You must get the ROM from an existing physical machine,
it is not given my Apple.
Mac OS can be found pn apple's site, I didn't find the release

I have exactly the same problem, the interesting thing is that the ROM file works perfectly with the windows version.

I've tried calling the file performa.rom rom ROM and chmoding to 777 so I'm going to try some other roms.
