To everyone who is having problems with EV: Nova running under Basilisk, try changing your display settings in the MacOS to 256 colors at 800x600. This setting allows the program to load and play fine on my machine. I don't think this is a "bug" as it seems to be a problem with 68k machines that I've tried it on, so PPC emulation would be needed to run it without this error. The actual loading of the game, in-game menus, and fights between 3 or more ships in a system cause the program to crawl. Other than this the game seems perfectly playable.
