I run succesfully win32 binary version for 3 years
succesfully (BasiliskII_win32_20012001.zip downloaded
from http://www.nic.fi/~lpesonen/BasiliskII/ when the site
was up).
Two days ago I tried to use the win32 binary from
Gwenole Beauchesne at
http://gwenole.beauchesne.online.fr/basilisk2/files/Basilis
kII-1.0-0.3.win32.zip. No matter BasiliskII_prefs settings,
BasiliskII exit immediatly. Here is stderr.txt and
stdout.txt :
stderr.txt
Error: unknown processor type
Family : 15
Model : 3
Mask : 4
Vendor : GenuineIntel [0]
stdout.txt
Basilisk II V1.0 by Christian Bauer et al.
WARNING: Unknown preferences keyword 'noclipconvert'

messages (can provide them all if needed))
WARNING: Unknown preferences keyword ''
Reading ROM file...
I read a message in the forum saying the problem
comes from some CPU does not report the "Brand ID",
so the code in codegen_x86.cpp can not guess the cpu
type. The guy use a P4. I have a Celeron 2.66Ghz D330.
I can verify that the "Brand ID" is unknown with CPU-Z
utility., the box is grayed out (see
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/2346/cpuz4uq.gif\).

Ah,
I got it to run, just adding :
jit false
jitfpu false
at the end of BasiliskII_prefs file, but :
- I lost this feature
- Argl, this is really a pain because each time I use
BasiliskIIGUI.exe, it erases JIT settings because it does not
handle them !!!!!!
So it would be nice to add these settings to
BasiliskIIGUI.exe, or add a "Custom" tab where we can type
settings not handled by BasiliskIIGUI !
By the way stdout always displays a bunch of "Unknown
preferences keywords" ...
