I'm using Basilisk II 1.0 on Fedora Core 1. Every time
I sttempt to start the emulator, it loads the ROM file
and then opens the window where the display is supposed
to be. Instead, I get a black screen.
The same ROM and hard disk file run on the Windows version.
This happens both when I use the RPM and compile from
source.

I got the same bug.... It was fine for the last several weeks, since I got
basilisk, then one day I placed something in the shared folder then the
blackscreen came up, but maybe its not due to the stuff I placed in there
though... Would it be cause this if you placed something in your Mac os X
preference folder?

This isn't Mac OS X; it's an actual Linux distribution (now
Fedora Core 2).

Matthias Saou's newest packages from freshrpms.net seem to work.

This happens to me with the 2006-05-01 JIT Win32 build
(http://www.gibix.net/projects/basilisk2/) whenever I set
the emulated memory larger than 4 MB. It happens
independantly of JIT on/off, sound on/off, CPU type, model
id and the ROM I use.
The exact same settings that produce the black screen for me
in the scenarios above, work without problems in an older
version 0.8.0.142 (also Win32) I have around.
