Hello! If you like the Classic Macs Firstclass server and want a BBS of your own, I now offer hosting starting at $15/month. Most of my other offerings are $7/month but FirstClass uses much more resources (largely due to needing a full GUI and not just a text-mode dedicated app) and needs at least 2gb of RAM. Our "basic" servers come with: 4gb RAM, 80gb SSD, 4 core. The BBS runs inside Basilisk II on a Ubuntu host server and you can connect to it to manage it using VNC (Remmina on Ubuntu preferred)....

HyperCard wants the fonts Geneva and Palatino. I've tried to find font suitcase files for those (.suit) files, but have come up empty so far. Does anyone know how I can find and install those fonts when using the emulator?

I just managed to work around my bug and delete the files! I had already rebooted multiple times, but for some reason after I shutdown and switched to my previous 7.5.3 system disk, I was then able to empty the 3 broken files from the Trash Can. I have no idea what changed to allow the files to be deleted from the Trash? The only differences between them: MacOS 7.5.3 with only HyperCard added -- couldn't delete MacOS 7.5.3 from a premade hard disk with tons of apps and add-ons -- could delete However,...

Also, why is this Bug Report showing up as a Feature Request? The only options to choose when submitting the bug report were "Feature_Request" or "Not_A_Bug".

The broken filenames are 31 characters long. I have no idea about Mac internals. Is the max filename length 30 characters? 31 chars? 32? 25?

Sharing files through My Computer breaks things if long filenames used (can't empty trash)

Reminder for the month of August for the Classic Mac's FirstClass server. We now have more than 100 members in our community! We have a permanent FirstClass server with over 430gb and 14,200 files to download for classic Macs. What is FirstClass? It's a GUI BBS for classic Macs from the 80's & 90's. Not a lot of them around anymore but this is the best way to get apps for classic Macs that can not access websites easily. Just download this one app and you get access to all the files in the repo using...

Hello All, Trying to run Basilisk II on my Amiga 1200 with PiStorm lite, OS 3.2. The launch program opens with 4 sections to fill out. Sections 2-4 are simple enough. But section one is a head scratcher for me. I do not have a CD image for 7.5.3, just a folder that contains all the files. What am I supposed to put here to get the program to run? Cannot find any info about this on Instructions. Also is says the program starts with a preferences file, in this case on the Amiga "Env/BasiliskII.prefs."...

Is there any option to adjust the display so that it is scaled up (2x, 3x, etc...)?

Hey I've just managed to start the emulator and updated to the version 7.5.5 as was adviced. I got Icab to work for network access and downloaded the sit file for snakes alive from both sites that actually offered it. Both times when firing up the game I manage to move for less than a second, enough to see the snake move for 2 pixels, then boom everything freezes. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm a new user of basilisk II so detailed explanation would be useful! Thanks in advance

When I open Basilisk II I get a warning that says "Baskilisk.app would like to receive keystrokes from any application." Why is it asking this? Why does it want keystrokes from other applications? I'm using MacOS Catalina.
