OK, I fixed up the check paths function... it now operations as before.

There still is the issue of the misc/commonfunctions.sh file not being
sourced at the right time in BashBurn.sh, though.

OK, perfect weather here today for a long bike ride into the
countryside. I have to get off now before the damn motorists all get out
and about.
