Hi all, I've found what I believe to be another bug in the upgrade script for 0.3.7. The script doesn't actually install the new version of the bblog script it instead leaves the old version behind, I'm assuming this is not deliberate because it is not noted in the README.UPGRADE file. If it is a bug the attached patch fixes it. -- TimP |

Hi, There is a bug in the upgrade script that causes it to fail to verify the MD5 sums, the attached patch fixes this problem. Please note that this patch relies on my libblog bugfix patch as well they are both attached. -- TimP |

Folk,For some reason, this is the message that I am getting from ./install...I haven't made any modifications to the structure of the unpacked directory and I'm using the latest build. Am I missing something here? Peace, Chris |

Just finished putting bashblogger up on freshmeat and sourceforge so, the bugreports should be coming in shortly. We made a bunch of fixes and I'm sure there was more that needed to be done, but it's been sitting still for 3 months, and there's no better way to discover a bunch of problems than to have a bunch of irate users email you and tell you what an idiot you are because you flubbed up whatever feature. Anyway, I gotta get some work done.=20 --=20 -Phil McClure The human small intestine if straightened out and measured with a ruler would no longer work properly. |

I had toyed with the idea of renaming article "categories" as "tags" because bashblogger's handling of article categories, to date, has been more in line with tag behavior than that of categories. Changing article "categories" to article "tags" would also obviate the bug "[artf12809] add support for sub-categories?" If link "categories" is still too confusing, I'm open to a more descriptive word. --=20 -Phil McClure Second-hand smoke kills? Where's my lighter... |

> I submitted a new artifact for a possible enhancement request. in case > you missed it :) No, I saw that. I'm just not sure how to go about implementing it. I went through and hand-edited the bblog.1.in output from txt2man and I think I've corrected all of the errors. There was some escaping issues and it was trying (incorrectly) to bold some type that didn't need it. Again, I think it's fine now. I wrote one big monster bug ([artf12893] Archive rebuild is a bottleneck) which probably should have been broken down into several smaller bugs but I'll fix it all at once, so just the one monster bug I think, this time. Also, with all the trouble we had with the "CONF_DIR/archives/daily", I'm going to go through and add sanity checks for all of the times bblog needs to do a file write. There are several there already, but if there was one every time it needed to do a write, you'd never have had a problem with the newer code.=20 --=20 -Phil McClure Hanging is too good for a man who writes puns.
