#18 Error retrieving contact entries
While syncing Blackberry with Evolution using libopensync plugin an error occured saying: "unexpected command of 0x41 instead of expected 0x40"
I'm using Blackberry Pearl 8100, OS v4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.8.4.34)
There is not problem to retrieve contacts using `btool`.

Hi,
I'm still trying to get my hands on a 8100 or 8120 to give it some thorough testing. There seems to be a number of glitches that people are reporting with these devices.
Can you use btool to download calendar data successfully? Try:
btool -d "Calendar"
If that fails, replug the device, and then run:
btool -vd "Calendar"
And send me the output. You can email it privately to cdfrey@foursquare.net if you prefer. Just add a note here that you did, to make sure I don't miss it.

I've tried syncing with an 8120 using the latest CVS, and it works. I did make some changes to handle records that were missing FN fields, but this doesn't appear to be your problem.
There has been no response to this bug, and it works for me on the 8120, so I'll close it for now. If you have new output to post from the btool commands I suggested before, please feel free to reopen the bug.

So I tried to run command:

Everything worked fine. So next test wos running btool with -r pointing to the last record seen in syncing log and this time the same error occured:

Sorry for the delay in follow up. I haven't seen this bug in my own testing.
Are you able to try with the latest 0.15 version of Barry? Nicolas did some work with the Storm, and perhaps these changes will help with your device as well.
