cell phone cameras don't require corrective optics to have enough information to get an image
cell phone browsers/data connections are fast enough to pull up a full web page in a couple of seconds
cell phones have the processing power to open the app very quickly
applications are created which enable the user to do something in a convenient way that they could not before
The above problems will likely be solved in the next generation or two of phones.
