Thanks, The Xalan extension is working perfectly and so is the <module-width>, so thanks very much. At the moment I'm just running this on my own PC, just while I get my stylesheet for PDF's correct, but I think I have that now. So soon I'll be transferring it across to out test Sun server and after some testing there it will go into production. Thanks for you help, I know where to come if I have more problems! Subject: Re: [Barcode4j-users] RE: barcode generation with FOP Hmm, strange that FOP didn't find the FOP extension then. Maybe some odd classloader effect. What's your environment? Tomcat or some big J2EE server? This shouldn't happen from the command-line. Anyway, I'm glad you got the Xalan extension to work. Code128 doesn't support the wide-factor attribute. Code128 has 4 different widths and their relative widths are prescribed by the specification. What you can change however is the module-width of the narrow bar. The bar width of the broader bars is then defined by multiplying the module width by 2, 3 or 4. See [1] to find out what attributes are supported for Code 128. If you really need a wide-factor it should be quite simple to add but I fear that the generated barcodes wouldn't be 100% conformant to the spec and might produce read errors on certain barcode readers. It doesn't really matter if you're working with the FOP extension (your earlier example) or with the Xalan extension (your new example). I think you're doing fine.
