A NOTE has been added to this issue. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1651 ====================================================================== Reported By: RalfGross Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Issue ID: 1651 Category: Director Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: feedback ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2010-10-07 08:42 BST Last Modified: 2010-10-07 10:09 BST ====================================================================== Summary: Accurate Job Information shows deleted files as backed up files Description: For accurate backups the job information, query output etc are not reflecting what really was backed up. If a file was backed up in a previous backup and then was removed from disk, the next accurate backup job shows this file as backed up. So the deleted file is shown as backed up! ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0005622) kern (administrator) - 2010-10-07 09:26 http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1651#c5622 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The output looks perfectly correct to me. When a file is deleted, if Bacula is going to track that fact, it is clear that the file must appear in the catalog as having been deleted at some point. If you display *all* the information about the file and interpret it correctly, you will find that it is a "delete" this file entry. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0005623) RalfGross (reporter) - 2010-10-07 09:54 http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1651#c5623 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree that bacula must track the information about deleted files in the DB. But shouldn't the job output then mark the files as deleted in some way? How can I get a list of the backed up files of a accurate job now? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0005624) ebollengier (administrator) - 2010-10-07 10:09 http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1651#c5624 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- What you propose is some kind of new feature, with a new set of command or options. I think that it should follow the New features process. See the www.bacula.org -> New features section, and submit it to the devel list. Put ideas that you would like to see, which command to use, etc.. For example, we can imagine do add a "deleted" option to the list files command. The job output can have an other line about deleted files (The job output is big enough I think), etc...
