Two problems have come up since releasing Bacula
1. There is a segment fault in the File daemon when
doing a status (i.e. "status all"). This is due to
a programming error on my part (%s instead of %d
in a formatting statement).
2. One user has reported problems with the SQLite database
(many bizarre database error messages).
Release 1.23a corrects problem 1 (bug fix). I've also
turned off SQLite transactions (performance optimization)
hoping to correct problem 2.
If you have taken a copy of Bacula 1.23, I strongly
recommend that you download the new release. Note,
1.23 has been removed (hidden) so there is no danger
in accidentally getting it if you haven't already
I have also released a new depkgs release that contains
the latest version of SQLite. The release notes say
that among other things, this release corrects a problem
of corrupted databases. If you are having SQLite problems
(I could not duplicate it here), you should upgrade the
depkgs, otherwise there is no urgent need to do so.
