In looking over the dump, it looks like the address passed to bnet_fsend() for the format in threads 7 and 13 in the gdb dump is bad. Unfortunately, the traceback does not show the calling point, which is quite unusual. I suspect that your problem is an old possibly buggy compiler. To the best of my knowledge the oldest compiler used with bacula was 2.95. You might try upgrading the compiler. If that is not possible, you might try two things: 1. Turn on debug level 200 (-d200) and that might give us a clue about what bnet_fsend() is breaking. 2. You might try setting a break point on bnet_fsend() and hope that the bad call is in the first few calls. If you are unable to at least upgrade the compiler, this will probably be a lost cause since the OS and software is quite old and apparently your OS is one of the first implementations of pthreads (if not the first).
