RTC / Internal Clock related features

Hi Steve,
This is regarding the Time (Internal clock / RTC) related functionalities required for CoV and DCC finite duration.
If the device is not capable of tracking time, as per protocol revision 19 is it possible that those specific tests can be skipped?
E.g. Subscriptions up to 8 hours, DCC with Finite Time Duration.
It is possible that very basic devices without having an RTC are conforming for revision 19 so do they get certified without these features?
Thanks,
Prasad

Time duration can be approximated by devices that do not have a calendar clock using a counter and some internal timer, and DCC and COV Subscriptions can use those approximate timers. Yes, products are able to complete BTL testing without a realtime/hardware/calendar battery backed clock, depending on the features they choose to support.
Side note: I used a duration timer counter for DCC on a product developed around 1998 that had a resolution of 1 minute (1 minute timeout might get you 1..59 seconds!). BTL was not amused, and requested that I use a duration timer counter with seconds resolution.
