Guys: The package has been finished for a while, but still unreleased for a couple of issues: 1. rsync appears to require reverse DNS to work when using the command line client. I could not find a way to disable this. In a corporate environment this probably isn't a big deal, but since my test platform was on a home setup with no local DNS server, it doesn't work. I haven't tried running BackupPC against it without reverse DNS. 2. Some errors in rsync are not passed back to BackupPC (path limitations, locked files). 3. I'm waiting to hear back from Craig on how the package looks and if it worked for him. Other than that, I'm using with BackupPC 2.0.0Beta2 (haven't upgraded yet) under Windows 2000 in an environment with locally controlled DNS with appropriate reverse entries and it works just fine. Windows XP should work as well.
