Does anyone recognize this error? It seems to have started around the time I moved a few hosts off to a different drive and used symlinks to keep everything running.. [root@hylafax litepack]# /home/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_zcat XferLOG.bad.z Running: /usr/bin/smbclient '\\litepack\C$' -U 'BackupManager' -E -N -d 1 -c 'tarmode full' -Tc - '/Documents and Settings/' tarExtract: shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory doing parameter log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log doing parameter max log size = 0 [...] The rest of the backup appears to run normally, but I'd like to get rid of those errors if I can. -- Johnny Wales Book Systems, Inc. |

Backuppc needs hard links to run; I don't believe that running it off different drives will work. What you could do is run two instance of BackupPC, one on each drive. Half the PCs are backuped on the first instance, and the other half of the second instance.
