Sorry about the delay in replying. It does sound like a permissions
problem, although your evidence suggests that they are ok.
What files are in /var/www/backuppc/pc/MyPC/0? In particular,
is there a file /var/www/backuppc/pc/MyPC/0/attrib? That's the
file that BackupPC uses to figure out what is in the directory.
With compression off it should also be uncompressed.
