I'm having a very strange problem trying to back up the localhost.
Basically, I'm using rsync transfer, with "/usr/bin/sudo $rsyncPath
$argList+" as the Rsync client command. The backuppc is allowed to
run Rsync with "backuppc ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/rsync *" in sudoers.
However, when I try to start the job from the CGI client, it's begins
the job, and immediately fails . Although the error reported in the
Host summary is "backup failed (fileListReceive failed)", there is no
log file for me to see what it is doing. The confusing part however,
is that it works perfectly fine if I sudo into the backuppc user and
run "/usr/share/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC_dump -f localserver". Meaning,
the files are backed up, and the log shows a perfectly error free
backup in the CGI. I have a feeling its a sudo problem, but I've run
out of ideas. Can anyone shed some light on this?
