I am a BackuPC newbie and i would like to have an info about Backup Format.
Backuppc works, but all the backups are in this format: f$dir .
All dirs and files have f in front of them.
How can i disable this f?
I mean i would like to restore files also in other ways and not only by

Files are stored in the pool, or the compressed pool, in a BackupPC
internal format, hashed based on their content.

These directories are used to track the files involved in a backup, as
well as to store additional meta-information within BackupPC.

You can't, at least without needing to make drastic modifications to the
internals of BackupPC.

The files stored internally are not necessarily equivalent to the files
you backup up -- they may be in a compressed format, or have additional
data appended, or other modifications.
If you really need to get at the data some other way, keep a current
tarball generated out of BackupPC with the 'archive' option, or invest
in some other backup system.
That said, it would help if you explained *why* you want to restore
files "in other ways", so that we can try to help you with your actual
problem, rather than telling you the solution you hoped for is
