I've been trying to set up the version of BackupPC in CVS, and after a lot
of fighting with it I've managed to get the daemon to run and the CGI
interface to work. There's just one problem: backups aren't working.
Automatic backups silently fail, and manual backups do the same.
I did a `BackupPC_dump -v -f host' to see what the problem is, and after
some output from ping I get `can't locate object method 'excludeStrip' via
package File::RsyncP at <install dir>/lib/BackupPC/Xfer/Rsync.pm line 242'.
Anyone have any idea where I could get a version of File::RsyncP with this
method? I suspect it's laying around uncommited somewhere, as I've been
unable to find any reference to this function on google etc. Should I forget
about using the CVS version? I really like the web customization interface,
which is why I had wanted to try it out.
Secondly, is CVS not frequently used with BackupPC? I've been doing a lot of
perl work lately and I think I could help out (if it's needed), but I don't
want to start working on something that's out of date.
