Dear AXgen user. Recently I fixed some small bugs in AXgen. Thanks a lot to everyone who contributed to find and fix them. I put everything together to a new maintanance release of AXgen available for download at axgen.sourceforge.net.

After some time of silence, I am happy to announce a new AXgen release. Among the most important changes are the new possibility to merge models online, important enhancements of the OJB templates and a completely reviewed project documentation.

AXgen is a Code Generator taking XMI as input and Velocity templates for transformation. AXgen comes with ready to use templates to generate OJB related stuff (entitiy classes, repository, ddl).

With this new release we continue fixing some small bugs in AXgen. All patches that appeared since the last release of AXgen are included in this new release. Thanks to everyone who helped us improving AXgen by sending us feedback.

AXgen is a code generator using XMI as input and Velocity templates for transformation.

Unfortunately, there are many different XMI standards. To overcome this problem XSL stylesheets can be used to transform one XMI dialect into another.

Jrme PICARD contributed a XSL transforming XMI exported from Rational Rose to XMI compatible with the NSUML library and thus usable with AXgen, downloadable in package contrib.

AXgen is a Code Generator taking XMI as input and Velocity templates for transformation.

We released version 2.0.1 of AXgen. This minor release mainly fixes some small bugs.

In addition, we included a XSL transformation step in the code generation build process.

AXgen version 2.0 is a completely refactored release. Writing templates becomes easier using a new UML abstraction layer wrapping arround nsuml or NetBeans MDR based uml metamodel classes.
Templates support now n:m associations and inhertiance (interfaces and super classes).

This Version includes completed documentation and improved templates for OJB. Use unidirectional relations, 1:1 relations, model composites for "autodelete" and dependencies for "autoupdate". Few the projecthomepage/Use AXgen to get more information about it.

The Documentation of AXgen has been completed. Especially the part of working with your own templates is of interest.

The first release of AXgen is out there. It includes all necessary libs, basic templates, a basic documentation and the sources.
