Had a password kept in memory, and encrypted/decrypted a small file OK. Then, wanting to change the encrypting password to something new, I selected from the pop-up menu "Clear passphrase memory". After doing that, whenever I select "Encrypt" from the pop-up I get the message:
"Internal error in (null) . Please report." Msg Box title is AxCrypt 1.7.2126.0 . System is Win7 SP1 with Admin privileges.

Thank you for reporting this. I cannot reproduce this. This does not mean that there is no problem, just that there are more factors involved.

I think you should be ok by simply logging off and on again, or at worst rebooting.

If you can reproduce the problem, please let me know.

Well, I just realized, after trying to reproduce this, that my original report had nothing to do with clearing the passphrase memory. It is related to using the XYPlorer program (a 3rd party Windows file manager program) - regardless of whether I clear out the PW memory or coming straight out of a boot. Happens there 100% of the time. Using under the built-in Windows explorer is fine.
Sorry for the false alarm - this is just a case of programs incompatibility.

Closed since the issue was due to use of incompatible windows explorer replacement.
