I try typing "awstats.pl www.mypage.com" while i'm in
the cgi-bin directory and it comes back command not
found... what am I doing wrong.. I followed your
directions exactly. So then I tried
typing "./awstats.pl www.mypage.com" and it says
permission denied. Of course I replaced
www.mypage.com with the correct name of my website.
Any help would be appreciated I'm still learning unix.

You can't launch
awstats.pl www.mysite.com because
your PATH is not correctly set up (The PATH is an
evironnement variable to say unix where it can find command
you launch). It doesn't matter. You can launch
./awstats.pl www.mysite.com to force unix to find
awstats.pl in the "." directory (it means current dir).
That's what you did. However it seems you don't have right
to "execute" awstats.pl. You can change this with "chmod"
unix command (See your unix manuel).
